Slow cooker Beef Goulash

A smoked paprika Hungarian Stew

Ingredients
  

  • 3 bell peppers
  • 200 g mushrooms
  • 200 g Tomatoes
  • 200 ml Passata replace fresh and passata with a tin of tomatoes
  • 500 g beef
  • 2 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 2 tbsp paprika
  • 3 cloves garlic crushed
  • 1 pot red wine stock pot
  • 1 pot beef stockpot
  • 2 tbsp cumin
  • 2 diced onions
  • 1/2 tbsp black pepper
  • 2 Dessert spoons flour

Instructions
 

  • roughly dice onions, slice peppers, quater mushrooms,

season meat

  • add all spices to bowl along with flour
  • add the beef to the seasoned flour and coat generuously
  • leave to one side

sear the seasoned beef

  • heat a touch of oil to a frying pan
  • allow to heat, add garlic
  • along with the beef and onions
  • allow to cook down and brown

pop into the slow cooker

  • throw all veg and the seansoned beef into the slow cooker
  • top with passata
  • add the stock pots

Leave to cook

  • 3hours on high
  • 6 hours on low
