How was the White chocolate rainbow swirled skittles cake born? A white chocolate and skittles cake, came my eldest’s reply when I asked him what kind of cake he wanted for his 13th birthday. Let us keep in mind that baking is my weakest area …
Hi, and today’s recipe is Homemade Vegan Dumplings/ Gyoza it is Chinese new year and with all the heartbreaking news regarding the recent virus., I feel a bit sad writing this. But I already had this recipe and blog post laid out before the outbreak. …
let’s start the stay at home and cook with me series off right with slow cooker beef goulash.
Due to recent events getting hold of ingredients isn’t as easy as it used to be.
So I am digging through my old footage to scrape together recipes for you guys, who are in isolation or are caring for those in isolation.
Goulash is a smoked paprika Hungarian stew, and by now, we all know I love comfort food. Those meals that fill you up and make you feel happy inside.
And given the recent events, I think it is much needed!
Beef Goulash History
Originally used by Hungarian shepherds who spent months tending to their livestock, the meat was cured and dried in the sun.
transported in a sheep stomach bag and water would be added, to make a stew for their tea.
Now obviously times have changed.
But you know what, if it’s not broke don’t fix it.
Goulash is now a national dish of Hungary and for good reason! It is bloody delicious!
Smoked paprika, tender beef. Who could ask for more!
I enjoy making this in the slow cooker.
allowing it to reduce naturally with the lid off, it becomes immensely flavourful and rich!
Freezing and Reheating Beef Goulash
This is freezer friendly which makes it perfect if you are caring for those at a distance during the Covid-19 outbreak.
I have been vacuum packing portions of bulk recipes to drop off to some of the most vulnerable. And the key workers who barely have time to sleep let alone cook.
Sometimes having a home-cooked meal can do a massive amount for mental health, not too mention the importance of having a healthy meal in the first place.
Celebrating the stay at home heroes
I am also making a point of celebrating our smallest heroes who have been helping out at home. Whether it be home baking or arts and crafts, I will be dedicating a portion of all my future videos too, the millions of children who have been helping us parents and carers at home.
My children love when they hear their names in my videos, so why not take the chance to give other children that excitement during this time.
DM or tag me in your little one’s creations along with their first name, age and city and I will give them a mention in my videos
If you find yourself in self-isolation check out my other post.

what is better than cinnamon rolls? How about Homemade Cinnamon rolls with three different glazes.
so cinnamon rolls are probably one of my most favourite things in the world, something I will not give up regardless of my fitness goals or journey.
so I decided to work them in as an occasional treat, so I can fully indulge that craving for soft delicious warm cinnamon rolls, with slightly oozy icing.
the trick to balancing out a healthy way to be able to enjoy the things you love the most, without compromising on richness, is to control your portion sizes when it comes to desserts.
The average calorie amount for a cinnamon roll is between 500-700, ours will come in around 225 (depending on the ingredients you use)

Spiced avocado smash with bacon, egg and feta, is a super easy recipe. Check out the Video below
I normally use this as a quick easy breakfast when I am craving a bit of bacon and eggs!
It’s got a few added elements of a traditional all day breakfast, but with the added healthy fat from half an avocado per serving.
I am using a seeded loaf for the toast in this which also boosts the healthy fat content.
I will normally have this on a day where I am not weight training, so I do not need to worry about the fat content slowing down my burn time.

I am using wonky avocados in this recipe. They are basically not aesthetically pleasing enough to fetch full price, so are cheaper than standard avocados. But every bit as delicious!
We are going to spice it up with half a tsp of both cumin and chilli flakes.
Because, it’s gorgeous and we can!
Using Prosciutto that we’ve crisped up under the Grill/broiler in place of out bacon.
Be sure to check out my other recipes below
the whole dish comes together beautifully and makes a brilliant Instagram post!
Speak of which don’t forget to tag me if you try this so I can see what you have been up to in the kitchen
Hope you enjoy the recipe, don’t forget I am back on Youtube, so now I can be in the kitchen with you!
